What we do

About ProShare

ProShare is a member- led, not-for-profit organisation, part of the London Institute of Banking and Finance, a registered charity incorporated by Royal Charter.

Our members comprise companies, advisers and administrators. 

We work with members, Government departments and agencies including the Treasury, BIS and HMRC, as well as the FCA, European Commission, and specialist, regional and national media always with the aim of protecting, promoting and enhancing the employee share ownership landscape.

We aim to:

  • be the leading voice of the employee share ownership community by raising the profile ProShare with the UK Government, the EU Commission and the media;
  • engage with policymakers in the UK Government and the EU Commission to improve further the employee share plan fiscal, legal and regulatory environment;
  • be proactive in helping drive improvements in the employee share plan landscape;
  • raise the awareness of the benefits of employee share ownership for employers and employees;
  • act as a conduit for sharing industry knowledge, expertise and best practice; and  
  • promote the value of ProShare membership to companies, advisers and service providers.
